How does Historic Mentor work?
Historic Mentor offers live video-based, personalized "facetime" mentorship with AI-generated conversational avatars of Marcus Aurelius, Cleopatra, Sun Tzu, Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo da Vinci, Simone Weil, Socrates, Lao Tzu, Confucius, Friedrich Nietzsche, and more. Every plan includes every mentor. Log in to your dashboard and immediately start a call with the mentor of your choice. Each mentor keeps track of every conversation and references your profile's bio in real time, allowing them to provide personalized advice tailored to your needs. After you end the call, your session transcript and details are saved to your meetings dashboard for future reference.
What do the journal and courses add?
All members receive a new daily journal prompt with thought-provoking questions to encourage self-awareness and growth, along with a journal dashboard to view previous entries or missed prompts. Mentors reference these entries to give contextual advice personalized to your life and priorities. Members also get premium digital courses featuring video lectures, audio recordings, downloadable content, and additional journal prompts.

Currently, Historic Mentor's digital courses, membership dashboard, journal feature, etc. are only provided in English, but will be translated in the future.
What's the difference between the plans?
Every plan includes every mentor, live video, unlimited chat, every course, and the daily journal — they differ in how much conversation time you get. Basic ($19/mo) includes 40 minutes of live video each month. Pro ($59/mo) includes 165 minutes plus the meetings dashboard with session recaps and mentor check-ins. Master ($199/mo) includes 500 minutes plus recordings of every session and priority support. Annual billing gives two months free. Enterprise is custom — see Plans.
Does Historic Mentor share conversation data?
Short answer: no. Historic Mentor conversation data is confidential and will never be shared outside of our tech stack. Long answer: view our Privacy Policy.
Can I request a new mentor?
Yes. We're always researching and developing new historical mentors, and members can submit mentor requests from their dashboard based on who they feel would be a great addition to the lineup.
